God provided a way back to relationship through the righteousness of his Son, Jesus Christ.  Through Jesus' death on the cross our sins can be forgiven.  Jesus is the way back to God.

Jesus is God and became man.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  -  John 1:1,14

Jesus died for us on the cross.

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.  He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.  -  I Peter 3:18

Jesus was resurrected from the dead.

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Romans 4:25

Good news indeed.  However, the only way to gain this forgiveness is to receive Christ.  "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become the children of God."  John1:14.

A person wishing for eternal life must make a choice.
